With Palm Springs and Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse a month away, Amazon is focusing all of its attention this month on the debut of Coming 2 America, which it acquired last year.
The long-awaited sequel is joined by another exclusive comedy, The War with Grandpa, and the debut of new adult animated series Invincible, from The Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman, plus a slice of modern blockbusters ranging from Inception to Aquaman.
Here’s what’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video UK in March 2021:
The Breakfast Club – 1st March
You won’t forget about this iconic reminder of your teenaged self.
Coming 2 America – 5th March
The long-awaited sequel sees the newly crowned Zamunda King, Akeem (Eddie Murphy), and his trusted confidante, Semmi (Arsenio Hall), embark on a new adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began, and where Akeem thinks he has a son.
Inception – 5th March
Christopher Nolan’s intelligent, absurd blockbuster is a heist that works on every level.
Edge of Tomorrow – 10th March
This underrated sci-fi is a rip-roaring blockbuster that’s definitely worth repeating.
Aquaman – 12th March
Arthur Curry, the human-born heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, goes on a quest to prevent a war between the worlds of ocean and land in this DC solo outing for the perfectly cast Jason Momoa.
The War with Grandpa – 19th March
Sixth-grader Peter (Oakes Fegley) is pretty much your average kid- he likes gaming, hanging with his friends and his beloved pair of Air Jordans. But when his recently widowed grandfather Ed (Robert De Niro) moves in with Peter’s family, the boy is forced to give up his most prized possession of all, his bedroom. Unwilling to let such an injustice stand, Peter devises a series of increasingly elaborate pranks to drive out the interloper, but Grandpa Ed won’t go without a fight. Soon, the friendly combatants are engaged in an all-out war.
Call Me by Your Name – 26th March
This swooning ode to first love is impossibly ravishing cinema.
Invincible: Season 1 – 26th March
Robert Kirkman’s adult animates superhero show revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except that his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (JK Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers that his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.
Made in Italy – 26th March
Liam Neeson stars in this comedy, set in Tuscany, about bohemian London artist Robert who returns to Italy with his estranged son Jack (Micheál Richardson, Cold Pursuit) to make a quick sale of the house they inherited from his late wife. Neither expects to find the once beautiful villa in such a state of disrepair. Exclusively released on Amazon by Lionsgate UK.
