What’s coming soon to BFI Player in November 2020?

BFI Player, the BFI’s streaming platform, is a gateway to global film, offering a collection of arthouse and world cinema to subscribers, alongside its pay-per-view rental releases and free archive titles and silent movie shorts. In November, it’s only adding a couple of titles, but they’re both gems, including Harry Dean Stanton’s poignant swan song.
Here’s what’s coming to BFI Player’s subscription service this month:
Lucky (2016) – 2nd November
Harry Dean Stanton gives the performance of a lifetime as an irascible nonagenarian maverick in a New Mexican town, grappling with his mortality.
BFI at Home: His Dark Materials: When Worlds Collide – 3rd November
The BFI & Radio Times Television Festival present a series of special events to celebrate Season 2 of BBC One’s His Dark Materials. Show creators, producer Jane Tranter and writer Jack Thorne take us on a journey into new worlds with principal cast Dafne Keen (Lyra), Amir Wilson (Will), Ariyon Bakare (Lord Boreal) and Simone Kirby (Mary Malone).

BFI at Home: His Dark Materials: Creating Cittàgazze – 4th November
