George Clooney is reuniting with Noah Baumbach for Jay Kelly, arriving on Netflix later this year.

Baumbach is no stranger to Netflix, having previously directed The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected), Marriage Story and White Noise for the streamer. He’s also no stranger to Clooney, with the star leading his take on Fantastic Mr Fox.

Jay Kelly is written by Baumbach and Emily Mortimer, who will also appear in the film. It follows famous movie actor Jay Kelly (George Clooney) and his devoted manager Ron as they embark on a whirlwind and unexpectedly profound journey through Europe. Along the way, both men are forced to confront the choices they’ve made, the relationships with their loved ones, and the legacies they’ll leave behind.

The film co-stars anaother Baumbach veteran Adam Sandler, who starred in The Meyerowitz Stories – and, of course, most recently appeared in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2. Also reuniting with Baumbach for the film will be Laura Dern (Marriage Story) and Greta Gerwig (White Noise, France Ha). The rest of the star-studded ensemble cast includes Billy Crudup (Almost Famous, 20th Century Women), Riley Keough (Zola, Daisy Jones & the Six), Grace Edwards (Asteroid City, Call Jane), Stacy Keach (Nebraska, The Bourne Legacy), Jim Broadbent (Gangs of New York, Another Year), Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring, Angels in America), Eve Hewson (The Perfect Couple, Flora and Son), Alba Rohrwacher (Maria, La Chimera), Josh Hamilton (Maestro, Kicking and Screaming), Lenny Henry (Missing You, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl), Nicôle Lecky (Mood, Sense8), Thaddea Graham (Bad Sisters, Sex Education), Isla Fisher (Now You See Me), Louis Partridge (Enola Holmes, Enola Holmes 2) and Charlie Rowe (Never Let Me Go).

The film will be released in cinemas on 14th November before streaming worldwide on Netflix on 5th December. Here’s the trailer:
