Beanie Feldstein joins star-studded Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building
VOD News | On 21, Apr 2025
Beanie Feldstein is the latest big name to join the typically star-studded Season 5 of Only Murders in the Building.
From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman, the murder-mystery comedy follows three strangers, Charles, Oliver and Mabel (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez), who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside the Arconia, their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio employ their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, they unravel the complex secrets of the building that stretch back years – and wind up becoming stars, suspects and targets in their own right, although not necessarily in that order.
Since the show’s hit first outing, it has drawn star names in guest roles, including Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd – with Season 4 going one step further by taking the whole thing to Hollywood, as Charles, Mabel and Oliver’s podcast is adapted into a movie (starring Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria).
Season 5 will see Beanie Feldstein join the gang, having recently appeared in Drive-Away Dolls, American Crime Story and Booksmart. Other names joining the ensemble will be Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key and Logan Lerman, as well as Jermaine Fowler.
Season 5 will follow the investigation into the death of Lester (Teddy Coluca), the doorman at the Arconia, having shown up dead at the courtyard fountain at the end of Season 4 – not long after a wedding took place. Leoni also appeared in Season 4’s finale, as Sofia, the wife of Nicky, the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn.
Production is underway, with a release date expected later this year.=
Only Murders in the Building renewed for Season 5
6th September 2024
Only Murders in the Building will officially return for a fifth season.
When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio employ their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, they unravel the complex secrets of the building that stretch back years – and wind up becoming stars, suspects and targets in their own right, although not necessarily in that order.
The show recently debuted its fourth season, which sees the trio journey to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about their podcast. As Charles, Oliver and Mabel race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey – traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.
Now, after only two episodes have arrived on our screens, the show has already been renewed for Season 5. The fifth season will also comprise 10 episodes, although any further details are still under wraps – including who survives out of Season 4’s starry cast (which includes guests Meryl Streep, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani and Molly Shannon).
