22 Jump Street – 29th September

It’s not often that a sequel is funnier than the first film. 22 Jump Street manages it, as Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum return as incompetent cop buddies Schmidt and Jenko. Effectively rehashing the first film – while joking about doing so – the result is an smartly layered piece of post-modern stupidity that packs a dangerously high laugh-to-minute ratio.

Godzilla – 29th September

Gareth Edwards’ modern update of the classic Japanese monster retains the awe of the original.

Rocky – 29th September

Rambo may be serving up dubious sequels, but don’t miss your chance to go back to the start of the superior Stallone franchise, before the first six movies depart Amazon Prime Video.
