Netflix is updating The Parent Trap for the Millennial age with new romantic comedy Set It Up.
The film follows two New York assistants, Harper (Zoey Deutch) and Charlie (Glen Powell), who are overworked, underpaid, and tired of wasting their 20s slaving away for bosses who treat them like dirt ‘round the clock. When they realise that they would have much more free time if the people they worked for weren’t single, they concoct a plan to lure their bosses into a faux-romance.
Lucy Liu and Taye Diggs play their demanding bosses, Kristen and Rick. Will their assistants strike out or score a home run? We’ll find out on Friday 15th June, as Set It Up arrives on Netflix worldwide. The film is directed by Claire Scanlon, with Katie Silberman penning the script.

Lucy Liu joins Netflix rom-com Set It Up
16th June 2017
Lucy Liu is unleashing her inner horrible boss for Netflix’s new romantic comedy, Set It Up.
The film, which is written by Katie Silberman and directed by Claire Scanlon, came to the streaming service this year, after starting at MGM. It follows two assistants who, tired of their low pay and cruel bosses, come up with a plan to distract them from treating them like dirt: set them up with each other.
Lucy Liu will play one of those harsh employers: Kirsten Stevens, an “an intimidating, no-nonsense, extremely successful sports reporter”, reports Deadline. Taye Diggs will play the other of the duo, who are lured into a faux romance by their assistants, who have all the access to be able to manufacture a relationship. Inevitably, though, things go wrong, as the two employees, Harper and Charlie (Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell), find there could be unexpected consequences to their plan.
