Whiplash is available to download in HD today ahead of its DVD and Blu-ray release on 1st June.

To celebrate, we bring you an exclusive clip from the documentary Timekeepers. The 42-minute film features famous drummers, including Chad Smith and Doane Perry, talking about the passion and craft of drumming and is included exclusively on Blu-ray discs.

This clip, Words of Wisdom, talks about the importance of learning the rudiments of drumming.

Other Blu-ray exclusive bonuses include director Damien Chazelle’s original short film and a deleted scene, both with optional commentary. For those who don’t want to wait until June for the film and its special features, they are also available as iTunes Extras.

Whiplash stars Miles Teller as Andrew Neyman, an ambitious young jazz drummer, who is recruited to his school’s top band by Terence Fletcher, a ruthless teacher known equally for his talent and his terrifying methods.
