“Are you really dead? After all that crazy stuff we survived together?” That’s the sound of Netflix’s anime 7Seeds returning for Part 2 this March.

The story takes place in the immediate future, when a giant meteorite has collided with earth. All living organisms, including mankind, have been wiped off the face of the planet. The government, who had foreseen this outcome, took measures to counter the worst-case scenario with the titular project, which sees five sets of seven people placed into teams, finding ways to survive on a deserted island.

Part 2 picks up as Japan’s last survivors continue to navigate the dangers of their new world and one another. But the bonds of humanity, past and present, never fade.

7Seeds Part 2 premieres on 26th March on Netflix. Here’s the video:

Don’t you hate it when you wake up from a long nap only to discover the apocalypse has happen? And, to cap it all off, you’ve been cryogenically frozen to ensure the survival of the whole human race? That’s the premise behind 7Seeds, Netflix’s new original anime, and the full trailer gives us our first proper at the series.

The story takes place in the immediate future, when a giant meteorite has collided with earth. All living organisms, including mankind, have been wiped off the face of the planet. The government, who had foreseen this outcome, took measures to counter the worst-case scenario with the titular project, which sees five sets of seven people placed into teams, finding ways to survive on a deserted island.

Netflix and Japanese animation studio Gonzo have teamed up for the anime, with Yukio Takahashi directing and Touko Machida on board as story editor. The cast includes Nao Touyama, Jun Fukuyama, Katsuyuki Konishi, Yoko Soumi, Kana Asumi, Akira Ishida, Aoi Yuuki, Kazuhiko Inoue, with character design by Yoko Satoh.

Netflix is spoiling anime fans this week, with yet another teaser for one of its new original series, 7Seeds.

Hot on the heels of the news that Neon Genesis Evangelion is coming this June, Netflix is giving us a glimpse of another sci-fi epic. It follows the struggle for human survival, which begins after a sudden awakening; a group of young men and women chosen for the 7 Seeds project, created to prevent humanity’s extinction.
