True Blood to stream on Sky and NOW TV this summer

True Blood will be available to stream on-demand on Sky and NOW this summer.
Based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris, the Golden Globe-nominated series is created by American Beauty’s Alan Ball and finally reached the end of its run in September last year. Now, almost a year after the show drew to a close, all seven seasons of True Blood will be added exclusively to Sky’s online TV box set collection.
True Blood follows Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic barmaid living in the small town of Bon Temps, Louisiana, whose life is turned upside down when a vampire (Stephen Moyer) walks into her life and introduces her to a strange new supernatural world.
The show joins Sky’s streaming line-up of over 300 box sets, including Entourage, Nashville and Modern Family, and arrives hot on the heels of Sons of Anarchy, which rides online this month. The box sets are available to watch through both a customer’s Sky+HD box and Sky Go – and, for non-Sky customers, on NOW, Sky’s contract-free VOD service that gives on-demand access to Sky’s TV catalogue. A subscription costs £6.99 a month.
The whole of True Blood will be available exclusively on Sky and NOW from Thursday 13th August.
