Netflix is venturing into the family fantasy arena this March with new series The Letter for the King.
The show, which is pitched somewhere between CBBC’s Raven and HBO’s Game of Thrones, is a epic for tweens, which sees a young boy hold the fate of a kingdom in his hands when he embarks on a quest to deliver a secret message.
In this sweeping fantasy series, a teenage knight-in-training (Amir Wilson) receives a vital letter. He embarks on an epic journey to deliver it to the king and stop the world from being plunged into darkness.
The story is based on the best-selling novel of the same name and also stars Ruby Serkis, Thaddea Graham and Gijs Blom. The Letter for the King is written by Will Davies (How To Train Your Dragon, Johnny English, Puss in Boots) who also serves as an executive producer alongside Paul Trijbits (Saving Mr. Banks, Sing Street, The Casual Vacancy).
The series premieres on 20th March on Netflix. Here’s the trailer:
The Letter for the King is available on Netflix UK, as part of an £9.99 monthly subscription.
