Greenland, the new disaster movie starring Gerard Butler, will be released on Amazon Prime Video this February.
The movie, which co-stars Morena Baccarini (Deadpool), sees a family fight for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth. John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being levelled by the comet’s fragments, the Garritys experience the best and worst in humanity while they battle the increasing panic and lawlessness surrounding them. As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.
The film is written by Chris Sparling (Buried) and directed by Angel Has Fallen helmer Ric Roman Waugh. It was released online in the US last December, following a gradual release across Europe, Australia and other countries throughout 2020. Now, it will premiere in the UK exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, with the film available to stream from 5th February. Here’s the trailer:
