Soho Theatre will stream Lars von Trier’s The Boss of It All this September.
Adapted from the film by Jack McNamara, the production was originally performed by New Perspectives at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014, before transferring to the Soho Theatre in 2015.
Billed as “probably the best Danish office comedy in the world” the comedy navigates faked identities and explosive office politics, asking if leadership is ever any more than a performance.
The boss of an IT company is secretly selling up. To save face, he hires Kristoffer, an actor, to take the blame. Thrown in at the deep end, he soon gets more than he bargained for. What could possibly go wrong?
Now, the play is being given a full digital makeover, with Josie Lawrence and Ross Armstrong leading the cast. The streamed production will run for five performances from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September, with performances at 8pm and 4pm across the three days. Tickets range from £8 to £10, with audiences sent a link to the show in advance of their chosen performance.
