Guess who’s back. Back again. Bauer’s back. Tell a friend… to sign up to Sky’s NOW, because Sky 1 has snapped up 24: Live Another Day.

The return of everyone’s favourite CTU agent/hero/torturer/angry father with a gun will be broadcast on Sky 1 in May, shortly after its premiere in the US. 24: Live Another Day will be filmed in London next month, bring Bauer back to our TV screens after a four-year absence.

Kiefer Sutherland will reprise his role, but the formula itself will change to a limited run of 12 episodes rather than the standard 24-part around-the-clock approach. Mary Lynn Rajskub will also reappear as Chloe, while William Devane will co-star as James Heller and Kim Raver as Audrey Raines.

Kiefer Sutherland said: “24 has always had such a global sensibility. But to be able to tell this intense 24-style story with the beauty of Europe’s history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fascinating. Hopefully, by the time you’re finished watching an episode, you’ll feel like you’ve been there… on the edge of your seat.”

Executive Producer Howard Gordon is back on board too, as well as former producer and director Jon Cassar, who will executive produce and direct episodes.

And, thanks to NOW, non-Sky customers will be able to watch 24: Live Another Day online in the UK.

NOW’s Entertainment Membership costs £4.99 per month (from 29th May 2014, this renews at £6.99 per month) and allows you to stream programmes on Sky channels (including Sky 1 and Sky Atlantic) live as well as watch them on-demand. Fans keen to relive the whole lot on-demand, though, will also be able to watch Season 1 of 24 through Sky’s on-demand service from February onwards. From March, the remaining seven seasons will be available to stream too.
