Trailer: Prey set for Disney+ UK debut this August

They hunt to live. It lives to hunt. That’s the starting point for Prey, the latest entry in the Predator franchise.
20th Century Studios’ action thriller is set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago. It is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior who has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains. So when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison, it stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp, Michelle Thrush, Julian Black Antelope and Dane DiLiegro. You can see them in action on 5th August, when the film premieres on Disney+ UK. Here’s the trailer:
Prey: Disney+ unveils first look at Predator sequel

Disney+ unveiled the first look at its latest Predator sequel, simply titled Prey.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg and produced by Jhane Myers, the film is set in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago. It follows Naru, a skilled warrior who fiercely protects her tribe against a highly evolved alien predator.
The film will premiere on Disney+ UK in 2022, as part of the streaming service’s adult-friendly “Star” brand.
The image was unveiled during Disney’s two-year anniversary celebrations of Disney+, with a slew of Star titles also confirmed for arriving on the service next year.
They include Rosaline, a fresh comedic twist on Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, in which the classic love story is told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline – who just happens to be Romeo’s ex-girlfriend. Starring Kaitlyn Dever and directed by Karen Maine, the first image from that was also unveiled:
Also arriving will be The Princess, an irreverent action movie set in a fairy tale world. Joey King stars as a young royal who is more comfortable with a sword than a tiara and must save her kingdom from ruthless mercenaries. Directed by Le-Van Kiet, the movie premieres next summer. And finally, No Exit, a thriller that follows Darby Thorne (Havana Rose Liu), a young woman who is stranded by a blizzard and forced to find shelter at a highway rest area with a group of strangers. Here’s the first image from that:
