Outlander Recap: Catch up on Season 1 and 2 in under 3 minutes

With Outlander Season 3 upon us, fans of the show will be counting down the hours until they can catch up with the historical fantasy romance, which sees Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a nurse, stuck out of time in Scotland, where she falls in love with Highlander Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). In the 1700s, she and Jamie travel to France and face the Battle of Culloden. In the 1940s, her husband, Frank, waits for signs that his wife is ok.
Produced by Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Gallactica), the result blends political intrigue, bloody battles and steamy romance like no other show, with a uniquely female gaze. Try and tell that to someone who hasn’t watched the series, though, and the answer is always the same: two seasons is a lot to catch up on before the third run arrives.
The good news? Amazon’s released a recap of Outlander that races through the events of the first two seasons in under three minutes – the perfect summary of what they need to know to follow the show. The better news? They’re both on Amazon Prime Video, where Season 3 will be available to stream exclusively on Mondays, starting Monday 11th September.
