NOW TV offers two-week free trial for TV and Movies

NOW has launched a two-week free trial for both TV and Movie subscribers.
The VOD service, which provides streaming access to Sky without the Sky content, has become key to the broadcaster’s growth in the UK.
Indeed, Sky has more than 12 million customers in the UK, with over 38 million paid-for subscription products – but revenue per customer has increased by just £1 in the past 12 months, despite prices being raised, which suggests that a growing number of customers are preferring the cheaper OTT option.
The VOD service is split into two products: an Entertainment Membership, which allows users to watch TV shows live online and also catch up with them on-demand. For £6.99 a month, that includes TV channels such as Sky 1, FOX and Sky Atlantic, giving users access to The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones (when broadcast during the spring), Arrow, The Flash, American Horror Story and more.
A NOW Cinema Membership allows users to stream films on-demand from the Sky Movies catalogue. For £9.99 a month, users get access to over 1,000 movies, including the whole of Star Wars and Harry Potter and, at the time of writing, Whiplash and (from 30th October) Birdman. Up to 30 movies are added each month, with NOW holding deals with Disney and other studios to give them the rights to stream movies exclusively up to a year before they move to other services, such as Netflix.
Previously, NOW offered a one-month free trial only for new NOW Cinema Membership subscribers, but the site has now halved the trial period, instead extending the offer to both Movies and Entertainment Membershipes: new customers can try Movies, Entertainment or both for free for two weeks. Note: This offer is available at the time of writing in 2015, but may not be available at future dates.
