No Time to Die will officially be released online this November, we can confirm.

Eagle-eyed Bond fans looking at our VOD release dates guide for the month will have noticed Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond pencilled in for 19th November and now we can officially confirm that the film will be getting a Premium VOD rental release this Friday.

The film arrived in cinemas on 30th September, after one of the biggest delays of any Hollywood blockbuster in the past 18 months, due to cinema closures amid the Covid-19 pandemic and studio uncertainty around audience appetite in a now-crowded release schedule. It has so far made more than £500 million at the box office, but will now be available in living rooms across the country as well.

The 25th film in the 007 franchise sees James Bond enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica having left the secret service. His peace is short-lived, though, when his old friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond to the trail of a mysterious villain (Rami Malek) armed with dangerous new technology.

The film co-stars Leo Seydoux, reprising her role as Madeleine, Ana de Armas as secret agent Paloma, Lashana Lynch as up-and-coming British spy Nomi, Christoph Waltz as Blofeld, Naomi Harris as Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q and Rory Kinnear as Tanner.

Behind the camera is director Cary Joji Fukunaga, who co-wrote the script with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. (You can read our review here.)

The early digital release makes the film just one of many to embrace the new Premium VOD window that has become a standard since cinemas reopened post-Covid-19 lockdowns. The film will be available to rent for a 48-hour period at an expected price of £15.99 on an array of digital platforms, including Apple TV (iTunes), Prime Video, Rakuten TV, Google Play, YouTube, Sky Store and CHILI.

The film will then be released on DVD and Blu-ray on 20th December, just in time for Christmas, at which point the movie will also be available to buy and rent online at normal transactional VOD prices.
