Ozark Season 4 returns for Part 2 this April
James R | On 23, Feb 2022
The end is nigh for Netflix’s Ozark – and it’s coming sooner than you might think.
The crime drama, directed and produced by Jason Bateman, revolves around financial planner Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney) and their family’s sudden relocation from the suburbs of Chicago to a summer resort community in the Missouri Ozarks. Rather than the familiar skyscrapers and trading floors, Netflix’s drama explores capitalism, family dynamics, and survival, through the eyes of (anything but) ordinary Americans.
Season 4 sees the Byrdes trying to navigate waters that contain the Navarro cartel, old enemies and new challenges, with nobody set to get out clean. Split into two parts, the first seven episodes premiered on 21st January. Now, a month on, Netflix has confirmed that the second part, comprising the final seven episodes, will premiere on 29th April. The move follows a similar decision by the streamer to split the penultimate season of Stranger Things into two halves, partly due to the Covid-19 pandemic and partly to encourage conversations around the programme to continue for longer.
