Natalie Portman has become the latest big star to ink a first-look deal with Apple TV+.
The Oscar-winning actor and her producing partner Sophie Mas (Call Me by Your Name, Ad Astra) recently formed a production company called MountainA. The pair are no strangers to Apple, with them both exec-producing the series Lady in the Lake for the tech giant’s subscription streaming service. That was announced this past week, with Portman set to star opposite Lupita Nyong’o, marking her first foray into TV.
Now, Deadline reports that Portman and Mas are building on that relationship to ink MountainA’s first producing deal.
They join Apple’s burgeoning roster of star storytellers with deals in place for Apple TV+, including Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Idris Elba, Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Octavia Spencer, Kumail Nanjiani and Alfonso Cuarón.
