In 2009, Minecraft came into the world. 70 million copies later, those tiny square blocks have built up a video game giant, connecting people around the world through a shared love of creativity and building things – not to mention helping kids to grasp physics and architecture.

The result is a huge community of players and streamers, who regularly dominate YouTube activity, thanks to vlogging stars such as Stampy, iBallisticSquid and The Diamond Minecart. (Trust us, ask your kids: they’ve heard of them.)

Now, the game has spawned a live event at London’s ExCel centre, which takes place this weekend (4th / 5th July 2015). MineCon 2015 will bring together thousands of people to enjoy panels with experts, presentations from developers, gameplay sessions, costume contests and a heck of a lot more.

Can’t make the event? You can also stream it live on Amazon’s service, Twitch.

Head to twitch.tv/minecon and you’ll be able to choose between three different streams: the main Expo Hall footage, a video beamed straight from the main stage and another from Panel Room 1. The streams will also be hosted on Xbox One and Xbox 360 through the Twitch app.

Streams start from 10am GMT each day, with the following rough schedule:
