Kiara Advan will star in Netflix’s new original film Guilty.

The actor, who made her digital debut last year with the widely acclaimed Netflix anthology movie, Lust Stories, is teaming up with the streaming service once again for the drama. The film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic, the digital content arm of Dharma Productions, one of India’s top film production-houses – they’re known for their blockbuster hits and setting new benchmarks across Indian cinema. The studio is led by multi-faceted director and producer Karan Johar.

Guilty will be directed by Ruchi Narain and explore the different versions of truth that emerge when a small-town girl accuses a college heartthrob of rape. Seen through the eyes of his musician girlfriend, this story makes us question who is “guilty” in such circumstances.

The movie is slated to release on Netflix later this year.
