A new Harlan Coben thriller is heading to our screens next month, thanks to Walter Presents.
The streaming channel, available on All 4, is dedicated to TV shows from around the world. It’s testament to Coben’s writing that the bestselling US author is as popular on the continent as on his home soil: his novels have been adapted into French films such as Tell No-One and his book No Second Chance was adapted for French TV.
With that series already snapped up by Walter Presents, the online channel is doubling down on its Coben content, with Just One Look, another French thriller, set for a February release.
Eva and her family lead a peaceful life in France until one a day a photograph arrives in the mail that turns her world upside-down. Eva is happily married to Bastien with their two children, Max and Salome. When a mysterious photo of Bastien with a woman’s face scratched out appears, he denies any recollection of the event.
The next night, Bastien leaves with the children to stay in a hotel. Eva then suddenly loses all contact with him. She now has only one goal: to find them at all costs, even if it resurfaces the scars of her own past. Is her whole life based on a lie? Can you ever truly trust those closest to you? Can love overcome all else?
Coben reunited with No Second Chance writer Sydney Gallonde to co-create the series, which is based on his book of the same name.
In front of the camera, Eva is played by multi award-winning actress Virginie Ledoyen who starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Danny Boyle’s The Beach. She is joined by Thierry Neuvic and Thierry Frémont.
The six-part series will premiere on 7th February on More4 with episodes airing weekly – and available on-demand through Walter Presents after each broadcast.
