JK Simmons is the latest star name to join the cast for Netflix’s Our Man from Jersey.

The film, directed by Julian Farino (Giri/Haji, Ballers), follows Mike, a down-to-earth construction worker from Jersey who is quickly thrust into the world of super spies and secret agents when his high school ex-girlfriend, Roxanne, recruits him on a high-stakes US intelligence mission.

It will star Mark Wahlberg as Mike, with Halle Berry co-starring as Roxanne. Now, they’ve got some company, with JK Simmons (Whiplash, Being the Ricardos) signing on to star, alongside other new additions Jessica De Gouw (The Secrets She Keeps, The Crown), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Suicide Squad, Lost), Alice Lee (Brittany Runs a Marathon) and Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children, The First Lady).

The film is written by David Guggenheim and Joe Barton and is exec-produced by Wahlberg, alongside Stephen Levinson and Jeff Waxman.
