Hush Money: BBC Three tests friendships with new game show

A brand new game show, Hush Money, will be coming to BBC Three later this year. Made by All3Media’s Maverick Television, the new show will offer groups of friends brave enough to enter the Hush Money chambers the ultimate physical and psychological test.
Set across four individual rooms, the team of friends will take on a series of different challenges and will start the game with £5,000 in prize money. To emerge victorious, they must endure a series of shocks, surprises and scares while completing a number of tasks. Each chamber will generate a new type of reaction from the teammates, from blood-curdling shrieks to yelps of joy. Every time any one of the group screams, the prize money will drop – how much they lose all depends on how much they scream.
With unexpected encounters waiting in each chamber, the whole team must successfully navigate each chamber while keeping calm and carrying on.
Simon Knight, CEO of Maverick Television, says: “Heart-stopping… thrilling… joyous… this show is irresistible for groups of friends who like to take on a challenge together. We can’t wait to put people’s nerves to the ultimate test.”
Rachel Ashdown, Commissioning Editor for the BBC, adds: “This is a fresh new format that sees friends face surprising challenges, but also have fun together and maybe even leave with some cash. Whatever happens they are guaranteed an experience to remember!”
A pilot has been commissioned by Kate Phillips, Controller Entertainment Commissioning and Fiona Campbell, Controller BBC Three. The Executive Producers for Maverick Television will be Matt Cox and Simon Knight. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Rachel Ashdown.
