Backstabbing your work colleagues. Craving ribs. Strangling dogs in the street. These are all warning signs that your House of Cards withdrawal has reached critical levels. These new photos of House of Cards Season 2, then, might be just the trick.

The pictures, released by Netflix today, don’t reveal any major surprises – although Francis Underwood’s hair may be looking a little grayer than it used to. Given the odds facing Frank and his wife, Claire, though, that may not come as a shock.

House of Cards Season 2 sees Kevin Spacey return as the Machiavellian politician and Robin Wright reprise her role as his equally calculating spouse. Together, they continue their ruthless rise to power as threats mount on all fronts.

Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara), an up-and-coming reporter and Francis’s former paramour, is inching closer to the truth – and President Walker’s (Michel Gill) billionaire confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney) is calling in favours. But can anyone stop The Underwoods in their ruthless tracks?

All 13 episodes of House of Cards Season 2 will be released on Netflix UK on Friday 14th February – the, erm, perfect romantic way to spend Valentine’s Day.
