Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life has finally got a release date. Netflix has announced that its Gilmore Girls reunion will premiere on Friday 25th November.
The four-part event takes us back to Stars Hollow for four 90-minute chapters, each spanning one of the four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. The series is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who executive produces, writes and directs the four 90-minute chapters with Daniel Palladino. The project is from Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
But no Netflix release date would be complete without a trailer to go with it – and, sure enough, we now have our first look at Lorelai and Rory in 2016:

Netflix’s Gilmore Girls reunion now has a title – and a cute motion poster to boot.
The streaming giant first confirmed its plans to bring back the old TV series earlier this year, with four episodes of 90 minutes on the way, each one covering a different season over the course of one calendar year.
Now, hot on the heels of an official bunch of images, things are beginning to take more concrete form, with the unveiling of an official title: Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

Melissa McCarthy will officially return for Netflix’s Gilmore Girls
8th April 2016
After weeks of speculation, Melissa McCarthy will officially return to reprise her role of Sookie in Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival.
“I’ve been asked about [it] so, so many times, and it hasn’t worked out. They’re making four new movies of the Gilmore Girls, which is a show that was near and dear to my heart for four years, and we could not get those schedules to work,” she told the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“There was a whole thing, and then I was going to be out of the country, and literally about an hour and a half ago, we figured out that I’m going to go back and do it, and I am so excited! They’re going to be amazing.”
Liza Weil joins Netflix’s Gilmore Girls reunion
8th February 2016
Liza Weil will officially be reuniting with her Gilmore Girls stars for Netflix’s new series.
The revival of the old show already has Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel reprising their roles of Lorelai and Rory, with other returning stars including Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop, alongside Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena.
Now, Weil has confirmed that she will also be heading back to Stars Hollow to reprise her role of Paris Geller.
The actress revealed her return to E! News at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s aTVfest television festival in Atlanta.
“It’s happening!” she said. “I start on Tuesday, which I really feel like bodes well that I get to start on a Tuesday being that we used to be on a Tuesday.”
After multiple rumours, the revival was officially confirmed by Netflix earlier this year, with four episodes of 90 minutes on the way, each one covering a different season over the course of one calendar year.
Weil’s Paris won’t be in all of the episodes, but she will be in two of the four and has only read the scripts for her episodes (written by series creator and director Amy Sherman Palladino).
“It’s very emotional to read them,” she added. “It’s like a really magical perfect time machine. I’m very happy to be a part of it.”
The show’s return continues Netflix’s current trend of bringing back old series, from Canadian high-school series Degrassi to 1980s sitcom Full House.
Update: More returning faces
Milo Ventimiglia (Gotham), Matt Czuchry (The Good Wife) and Yanic Truesdale (Rumours) are also set to return to their original characters.
