Full list of 2014 Golden Globe winners – and where you can watch them online

American Hustle ended up the surprise big winner at last night’s Golden Globes, taking home three awards: Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy), Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) for Amy Adams and Best Supporting Actress (Musical or Comedy) for Jennifer Lawrence.
Oscar heavyweights 12 Years a Slave and Gravity walked away with one of the big prizes each: Steve McQueen’s astonishing slavery drama won Best Motion Picture (Drama), while Alfonso Cuaron deservedly landed Best Director for Gravity.
The most pleasant surprises of all, though, were Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey, who took home Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for their dramatic turns in Dallas Buyers Club – and deservedly so.
On the small screen, in a less surprising turn of events, Breaking Bad, Behind the Candelabra and House of Cards led the 2014 Golden Globes winners.
Vince Gilligan’s drama about Walter White, a chemistry teacher turned meth king, won Bryan Cranston a deserved win of Best Actor in a TV Series (Drama) after years of being nominated without a win. The show, which was streamed exclusively on Netflix in the UK and later released on blinkbox, also scooped Best TV Series (Drama). Behind the Candelabra managed a similar feat, albeit with more sequins, dominating the best Best TV Mini-Series category by winning Best Mini-Series of Motion Picture Made for TV and also Best Actor for a Mini-Series for Michael Douglas.
Netflix also enjoyed success for Robin Wright, who took home Best Actress (Drama) for the first Netflix Original TV show House of Cards. The BBC also bagged a gong for Elisabeth Moss as Best Actress in a Mini-Series for Top of the Lake, which was broadcast on BBC Two last year. In the comedy vein of TV awards, Brooklyn Nine-Nine won Best Series as well as Best Actor for Andy Samberg – an interesting indication of the show’s quality just as it’s released in the UK. Indeed, the show premieres on E4 on Thursday 16th January, but is already available to watch on-demand on 4oD.
