New York Comic Con: First teaser for Daredevil Season 2 unveiled

The first teaser for Daredevil Season 2 has been unveiled – with an emphasis on the word “tease”.
Marvel’s series, the first in a string of original Netflix productions, has been one of the highlights of 2015’s TV line-up, introducing the world to a dark and violent take on blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), who tries to protect the streets of Hell’s Kitchen from ruthless businessman The Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio).
Season 2 sees Cox joined by Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, a character first created by writer Gerry Conway and artists John Romita, Sr. and Ross Andru, and best known to fans by his villainous alter-ego, The Punisher.
The vigilante also aims to clean up Hell’s Kitchen, New York, but by any means necessary – no matter how lethal the results.
The rest of the cast includes Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson, plus Elodie Yung as Elektra.
You can get your first glimpse of both Bernthal and Yung in the new video, officially dubbed a “sizzle reel” by Marvel – which is code for having to sit through highlights from Season 1 before you get to the 20 seconds of new footage. Not that highlights of Netflix’s Daredevil could ever be a bad thing.
The video was released at New York Comic Con, where Netflix also unveiled the first episode of new series Jessica Jones – which got an extremely positive response. You can catch up with the teaser trailers released for that series here.
Season 1 was awesome.
Watch the @Daredevil #NYCC sizzle… Season 2 looks epic!
