Maisie Williams and Bill Milner star in Netflix’s new original film, iBoy. The Son of Rambow and Arya Stark together in a film? If that casting isn’t enough to grab your attention, the new trailer for the movie may be.
It gives us a first look at the pair in action, with Miler playing Tom, a teenager whose world is turned on its head when a violent encounter with local thugs leaves fragments of his shattered smartphone embedded in his brain. He wakes from a coma to discover that returning to normal teenage life is impossible because he has developed a strange set of superpowers. With these new powers he sets out to seek revenge on the gang, who also assaulted his best friend Lucy (Williams). With some nifty special effects teased, turning London’s lights on and off, not to mention Rory Kinnear as a bad guy, iBoy is looking promising indeed.
It’s released on Friday 27th January on Netflix worldwide. Here’s the trailer – or read on for some stills too.
