Dior and I is available to watch online in the UK from today, as it struts onto VOD.
Frédéric Tcheng’s acclaimed documentary was a theatrical hit when it launched in March. The director’s follow-up to Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel and Valentino: The Last Emperor reveals the life inside the legendary fashion house of Dior.
With contributions from stars such as Anna Wintour, Jennifer Lawrence, Marion Cotillard and Marc Jacobs, it offers a sneak peek of the exclusive world, just as the label introduces its new creative director, Raf Simons, who has just eight weeks to deliver his first Haute Couture collection.
Raf Simons was known in the fashion world as a menswear designer, minimal and pared down, so it was with surprise that he was made creative director of Dior in 2012, a fashion house known for its sumptuous gowns and intricate embellishments. Tcheng follows Raf from the moment he is introduced to the atelier staff, through the entire eight weeks leading up to the Paris show: from concept to design, to making the fabrics, to selection of models, and finally to the runway and unveiling of the collection.
The film will be released on DVD on 15th June, complete with stylish extras, but is now available on VOD and EST platforms across the UK, including Amazon Instant Video, BFI Player, blinkbox, Curzon Home Cinema, Google Play, iTunes, Volta and Dogwoof’s own in-house VOD platform, Dogwoof TV.
