Daisy Ridley is heading to Amazon Prime Video to star in an adaptation of The Better Liar.

The drama, based on the book by Tanen Jones, will also be exec-produced by Ridley, best known for playing Rey in Star Wars, and will mark her TV debut.

It follows a woman who hires a lookalike to try and conceal her sister’s death and claim their shared inheritance, only for her deception to expose a web of dangerous secrets.

The series will be written and executive produced by Raelle Tucker (True Blood), who is under an overall deal at Amazon Studios and most recently served as showrunner on The Power. Siobhan Bachman will also executive produce the project for The Tornante Company.
