Apple has inked a first-look deal with Tehran co-creator and Fauda writer Moshe Zonder.

The series tells the story of a Mossad agent who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission infiltrating Iran. When her mission goes wrong, there’s no way out, placing her and everyone around her in dire jeopardy. Before the show has even premiered on Apple TV+ on 25th September, Apple is expanding its partnership with Zonder.

Zonder, who previously worked as an investigative journalist, was the head writer of Israeli Defence Forces thriller Fauda and 2012 series The Special, and has also penned the screenplays for Zohar, Burning Mooki and documentary Sabena Hijacking: My Version.

His agreement with Apple will see him create premium, scripted television projects for Apple TV+. He joins an impressive roster of talent with similar agreements for Apple’s fledgling streaming service, including Alfonso Cuaron, Idris Elba, Jason Katims, Sharon Horgan, Simon Kinberg, Oprah Winfrey and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
