Bosch is back on Amazon Prime Video this April, and a new trailer gives us our first look at its sixth season.
The cop drama, which is based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels, is Amazon Prime Video’s longest-running original series. Titus Welliver (Lost) stars as homicide Detective Harry Bosch, alongside Jamie Hector (The Wire) as Jerry Edgar, Amy Aquino (Being Human) as Lt. Grace Billets, Madison Lintz (The Walking Dead) as Maddie Bosch and Lance Reddick (The Wire) as Deputy Chief Irvin Irving.
Season 5 saw that ensemble joined by Billy Lush (Kingdom) and Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) in important recurring roles, and Amazon’s confidence continued to show, with an early renewal given for a sixth run. Indeed, Amazon has already commissioned a seventh run, which will be the show’s final outing.
Before bidding farewell, though, there’s still one penultimate season to enjoy, based on the books The Overlook and Dark Sacred Night. It sees Bosch up against the biggest case of his career when the city he loves comes under attack. It premieres on 7th April on Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon renews Bosch for Season 6
15th November 2018
Bosch has been renewed for a sixth season before its fifth has even aired.
The cop drama, which is based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novels, is now without a doubt Amazon Prime Video’s longest-running original series.
“The series remains strong,” we wrote in our review of Season 4, calling it the “best season yet”, in part due to a “super supporting cast who are able to pacify any potential lull in story when Bosch is off-screen”.
Season 5, which premieres in 2019, will see that ensemble joined by Billy Lush (Kingdom) and Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) in important recurring roles. Amazon, though, is already thinking ahead, giving an early order to Season 6.
“Bosch is a customer and critical favorite and Amazon Prime members are fans of this long-running series that delivers strong storytelling, complex characters, and exceptional performances,” Albert Cheng, co-head of television for Amazon Studios said in a statement. “We are happy to continue to work with Fabrik, Michael Connelly, and the rest of the team on this artful procedural drama.”
The series was developed for television by Eric Overmyer and is executive produced by Daniel Pyne, Overmyer, Fabrik Entertainment CEO Henrik Bastin, Pieter Jan Brugge, John Mankiewicz, Connelly, Red Arrow Studios International president Henrik Pabst, Jan David Frouman, and Elle Johnson.
