Paramount begins the new year with a new take on a modern classic, as Sexy Beast the TV series makes its debut.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Paramount+ UK in January:

The Changemakers: Season 1 – 1st January

Each episode of this documentary follows different people facing challenges in specific locations across the globe. From Black mothers in the USA fighting the life-threatening effects of systemic racism to Indigenous people in Ecuador protecting their land from deforestation. All 7 episodes arrive at once.

Accused: Season 1 – 4th January

Based on the BBC’s BAFTA-Winning crime anthology, each episode opens in a courtroom and follows the case from the defendant’s point of view. Episodes 1 to 5 arrive together, followed by episodes weekly.

The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story – 5th January

While in her best friend’s front yard, 15-year-old Kara Robinson was approached by a man who put a gun to her neck and forced her into his car. He would take her to his appointment where he held her captive and sexually assaulted her for 18 hours. While he was asleep, Kara escaped the restraints and his apartment and was able to lead the police back to the apartment’s exact location and identify her captor, a serial killer who was also responsible for at least three other unsolved homicides.

Georgie Shore: Season 24 – 9th January

A lot has happened since we last saw the Geordies and this series promises lots of new beginnings. Holly’s pregnant, Marnie’s getting married, Charlotte’s a new mum, Sophie’s moving in with her new boyfriend, and James is in love. With so much going on, the cast can’t wait to get together again at Marnie’s wedding, and she has a big surprise for them in store. Episodes 1 to 2 arrive together, followed by episodes weekly.

Sky Med: Season 2 – 12th January

The young medics and pilots flying air ambulances return for more life and death. And drama in the skies of remote Northern Canada. Expect new hook-ups, break-ups and heartbreaks. As the medevac service expands into new territory, throwing the flight crew into intense new emergencies at work and in their personal lives. All episodes arrive at once.

June – 17th January

This film shines an important spotlight on the history of country music and the mark the Carter and Cash families made on the genre before diving into the complex life of the legendary June Carter Cash.

Sexy Beast: Season 1 – 25th January

London, 1992. Gal Dove, a rising thief, is offered an opportunity to escape his mundane life. And expand his criminal enterprise with a job from leading criminal bosses Teddy Bass and Stan Higgins. Pressurised by long-time accomplice Don Logan, brother to illicit arcade boss Cecelia Logan, Gal agrees and pulls together a group of loyal boys. But soon comes to understand that everything comes with a price. After meeting Deedee, a renowned adult actress who seeks full control over her career, Gal is transfixed and desires a life beyond anything he’s ever dreamed. But with a wedding to his sweetheart fiancée on the horizon. And the increasingly demanding jobs drawing attention from rival criminals, Gal finds himself more isolated than ever. Not realising his closest ally is having an even darker crisis of their own. Unable to turn back, Gal must find his feet in the dark criminal world.
