Sky is making the most of its deal to become the new home of The Walking Dead this August, with Daryl Dixon and Dead City both dropping in time for some Bank Holiday weekend binge-watching. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: Season 1 (Sky Max, 9pm) – 1st August
In the third spin-off series of the seminal apocalyptic survival series The Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) washes ashore in France, struggling to piece together how he got there and why. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. In the opening episode, Daryl’s unexpected arrival sets off a violent chain of events that inadvertently puts a young boy at the heart of a growing religious movement in danger; Daryl agrees to help shepherd the boy to safety in exchange for help returning to America. All episodes arrive together.
Fantasmas: Season 1 (Sky Comedy, 9pm) – 1st August
Writer, director, and comedian Julio Torres spins a fantastical six-part tale of when he lost a gold oyster earring. In his search to find the precious object, Julio reflects on the offbeat characters he encounters in introspective, often eerie, and always comedic vignettes set in a dreamy, alternate version of New York City. All episodes arrive together.
Gladiators: Season 1 (Sky Nature, 7pm) – 4th August
Unlock the killer secrets and ingenious tactics of nature’s toughest fighters in this new four-part nature documentary series. Travel to four incredible ecosystems around the world – African watering holes, the weathered Australian coast, South American jungle rivers and North American tidelands – where wild gladiators, from the smallest ants to the biggest bears, do battle for the ultimate prize: survival. What begins as a seemingly harmless prank in the sleepy Welsh town of Beddau takes a horrifying turn when a medical skeleton is in fact revelaed to be a dead body. What follows is a gripping murder mystery intertwined with a dramatic family saga.
The Cleaning Lady: Season 3 (Sky Witness, 9pm) – 12th August
Leaping straight into the third season of the hit US crime drama, when Arman mysteriously disappears, Thony and Nadia begrudgingly team up to look for him.
Klitschko: More than a Fight (Sky Documentaries, 9pm) – 15th August
With unprecedented access to the former heavyweight boxing world champion along with his brother Wladimir, this feature-length documentary directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald combines a retrospective story of the brothers’ Soviet childhood and their incredible sporting career with present-day footage capturing what it takes to hold the city and country together during wartime.
Nick Cave: This Much I Know to be True (Sky Arts, 10pm) – 17th August
Shot on location in London & Brighton, This Much I Know to be True captures Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ exceptional creative relationship as they bring to life the songs from their last two studio albums, Ghosteen (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds) and Carnage (Nick Cave & Warren Ellis).
Faye (Sky Documentaries, 8pm) – 18th August
Faye Dunaway candidly discusses the triumphs and challenges of her illustrious career. Through those reflections, she explores personal discoveries including her struggles with mental health issues, her family history, and how the intensity of the characters she played still impacts her today.
Tom Davis: Underdog (Sky Comedy, 9pm) – 21st August
Sweet sweet soul Tom Davis is best known for hit shows King Gary, The Curse, Murder In Successville, Live At The Apollo and his hugely popular podcast Wolf and Owl with Romesh Ranganathan. In his brand new show, Underdog, Tom will be exploring life as the longshot. From leaving school with no qualifications to years working on building sites, all the way to the difficult road to fatherhood, acting in blockbuster films and yet still being told he’s punching by a waiter.
The Walking Dead: Dead City: Season 1 (Sky Max, 9pm) – 22nd August
Years have passed since we last saw Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan, (Jeffery Dean Morgan) and the old enemies must now form a tenuous alliance in order to carry out a dangerous mission. Maggie and Negan travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. Rob & Romesh Vs: Season 7 (Sky Comedy, 8pm) – 28th August
Continuing their mission to seek out new pastimes, livelihoods and lifestyles and make a right hash of them, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are back to prove that jack-of-all-trades are masters of none. The seventh series will see the duo head to Vegas to explore the world of UFC, tackle Heavy Metal at its UK heartland, Download Festival, and dive into Hollywood to see how they fare as Hollywood stuntmen.
Adam Hills: Foot Fault (Sky Documentaries) – Date TBC
Comedian and host of The Last Leg Adam Hills takes viewers behind the scenes of a global campaign around the growing form of the sport – Para-Standing Tennis – and its potential as a future Grand Slam and Paralympic event. Adam visits some of the most famous tennis locations in the world, meeting and playing with former Grand Slam winners, as well as uncovering the barriers faced by aspiring tennis players with disabilities who want to be included by their sport at the highest level.

Trolls Band Together – 2nd August
Now officially a couple, Poppy (Anna Kendrick) discovers that Branch (Justin Timberlake) was once part of her favourite boyband phenomenon, BroZone. When his brother and former bandmate Floyd is kidnapped, Branch and Poppy must reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop-culture obscurity.
If You Were The Last – 3rd August
Adrift in their broken-down space shuttle with little hope of rescue, two astronauts debate whether they’re better off as friends or something more. Anthony Mackie and Zoë Chao star in this sci-fi rom-com.
Concrete Utopia – 4th August
The world has been reduced to rubble by a massive earthquake. While no one knows for sure how far the ruins stretch, or what the cause of the earthquake may be, in the heart of Seoul there is only one apartment building left standing. It is called Hwang Gung Apartments. As time passes, outsiders start coming in to Hwang Gung Apartments trying to escape the extreme cold. Feeling a threat to their very survival, the residents enact a special measure.

orced into early retirement by a degenerative illness, former baseball player Ray Waller moves into a new house with his wife and two children. He hopes that the backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy for himself. Under the Boardwalk – 10th August
This animated musical comedy follows the hermit crabs who live under the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore. When Armen (a land crab townie) falls in love with Ramona (a sea crab tourist) tensions between their friends and families rise. But when a storm casts the duo far from home, their love will lead them on an epic adventure which unites the divided community.
The Inventor – 11th August
The insatiably curious and headstrong inventor Leonardo da Vinci leaves Italy to join the French court, where he can experiment freely, inventing flying contraptions, incredible machines, and studying the human body. There, joined in his adventure by the audacious princess Marguerite, Leonardo will uncover the answer to the ultimate question ~ “What is the meaning of it all?”

In a near future, life on Earth has been decimated. Paul (Nicolas Cage) and his twin teenage sons, Thomas and Joseph, have been living a half-life.
