Where can I watch the 2025 Oscars online in the UK legally?
VOD News | On 02, Mar 2025
It’s the same question every year: where can I watch the Oscars online in the UK – live, and legally? The answer has been the same for decades: Sky. Until now. In 2025, for the second year in a row, ITV has snapped up the UK TV rights to broadcast the Academy Awards.
That means British film fans can enjoy the ceremony without having to subscribe to a pay-TV service, or fly to La La Land, which makes working out your plans for the evening of Sunday 2nd March much easier.

On Sunday 2nd March, ITV will be broadcasting live from Los Angeles, with Jonathan Ross fronting the coverage of the festivities.
For red carpet watchers, the coverage will begin at 10.30pm on ITVX and ITV 1, with the red carpet outside the Dolby Theatre. Expect interviews with some of the world’s most recognisable faces and to hear how they feel about the ceremony.
Then, at 12am, coverage of the ceremony will be airing live. That coverage will, of course, involve some pre-amble, with Jonathan Ross being joined by guests and film fanatics to talk through the night’s predictions.
All ITV1 content will be available on STV and STV Player.
Repeat / Highlights
The next day, viewers can stream the full ceremony or catch a 90-minute highlights package of the ceremony, airing on ITV1 at 10.45pm on Monday 3rd March. Plus this will be available to stream on the ITVX pop-up Oscars page (both versions will remain available for three weeks).
