Portrait Artist of the Year 2025 (Sky Arts, 8pm ) – 1st October
Portrait Artist of the Year returns for its 12th edition, as another set of brilliant artists take on the challenge of capturing a veritable rogue’s gallery of famous faces in pursuit of the top prize – a commission from a leading exhibitor worth £10,000.
The Essex Murders: Who Killed Goldfinger? (Sky Documentaries) – 4th October
On June 24th, 2015, one of Britain’s most notorious criminals, John “Goldfinger” Palmer was found dead in his Essex garden. While police originally believed he died of natural causes, they eventually confirmed the case was being treated as a professional hit. 28 years earlier, Palmer had been acquitted for his part in the infamous Brink’s-Mat robbery, where he melted down millions worth of gold from the £26 million raid to sell on. All 3 episodes arrive together.
Saturday Night Live: Season 51 (Sky Comedy) – 5th October
Get ready for a fresh batch of hosts and musical guests… Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night! Stretching into its second half-century, the US late-night comedy institution returns to Sky ahead of the launch of the highly anticipated UK edition next year. Episodes arrive weekly.
Never Mind the Buzzcocks: Season 5 (Sky Max, 9pm) – 7th October
Drop a beat and start humming that intro… Never Mind the Buzzcocks is back for series five! Host Greg Davies returns as the ringmaster of rock n’ roll, joined by team captains Noel Fielding and Sophie Willan, regular panellist Jamali Maddix, and, back by popular demand, special themed episodes featuring guest captains. Forensics: Catching the Killer: Season 5 (Sky Crime, 9pm) – 9th October
A look at how forensic science can help police solve serious crimes where the truth seems impossible to uncover. As the various twists and turns of each case unfold, the role of forensic science in providing answers is highlighted and examined. Episodes arrive weekly.
Revival (Sky Max, 10pm) – 12th October
On one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the “revived” appear and act just like they once were. When local officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect. The Chair Company: Season 1 (Sky Comedy, 9pm) – 13th October
Former SNL writers Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin – the creators of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson – are back with a new labyrinthine mystery-comedy. After an embarrassing incident at work, William Ronald “Ron” Trosper (Robinson) finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy. Also starring Lake Bell, Sophia Lillis, Will Price and Lou Diamond Phillips. Episodes arrive weekly.
Witches of Essex (Sky History, 9pm) – 14th October
Rylan Clark teams up with anthropologist Professor Alice Roberts to investigate one of the darkest and most harrowing chapters in British history – the murder of hundreds of women accused of witchcraft. All 3 episodes arrive together.
The Iris Affair (Sky Atlantic, 9pm) – 16th October
When enigmatic genius Iris Nixon (Algar) cracks a string of complex online puzzles, she’s led to a piazza in Florence where she meets charismatic entrepreneur Cameron Beck (Hollander). He invites her to come and work for him to unlock a powerful and top-secret piece of technology. Her curiosity piqued, she accepts. But when Iris discovers its dangerous potential, she steals the journal containing the device’s activation sequence – and vanishes. The first four episodes arrive over two days, followed by episodes weekly.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: Season 3 (Sky Max, 9pm) – 24th October
The Walking Dead universe returns to our screens for the third instalment of Daryl Dixon’s post-apocalyptic odyssey. Season three follows Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse. IT: Welcome To Derry (Sky Max, 9pm) – 27th October
The Sky Exclusive drama series is set in the world of Stephen King’s “IT” universe, IT: Welcome to Derry is based on King’s “IT” novel and expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films “IT” and “IT Chapter Two. Episodes arrive weekly.

Grow – 10th October
GROW is a heart-warming tale of pumpkins, sabotage, and unlikely family bonds. A no-nonsense farmer in the self-proclaimed ‘Pumpkin Capital of the World’ takes in her estranged niece Charlie, who decides to enter the local pumpkin growing competition. As Charlie uses her unusual plant powers to nurture her pumpkin “Peter”, she grows closer to the town, the farm, and her new way of life.

A couple and their children move into a seemingly normal suburban home. When strange events occur, they begin to believe there is something else in the house with them. Black Bag – 17th October
From director Steven Soderbergh, Black Bag is a gripping spy drama about legendary intelligence agents George Woodhouse and his beloved wife Kathryn. When she is suspected of betraying the nation, George faces the ultimate test – loyalty to his marriage or his country.
Lake George – 18th October
Tasked by mobsters with putting an end to Phyllis'(Carrie Coon) life, Don (Shea Wigham) is unable to pull the trigger, and instead, the two set off on a road trip that evolves into something much more. Phyllis has designs of her own and proposes a little tag team action to Don: combine forces with the aim to steal all the money from the people who want her dead.

Science teacher Hank’s life changes when he reconnects with his first love, all while facing an alien threat in their town.
Dog Man – 24th October
When a faithful police dog and his human police officer owner are injured together on the job, a harebrained but life-saving surgery fuses the two of them together and Dog Man is born. Dog Man is sworn to protect and serve – and fetch, sit and roll over.
Psycho Therapy – 25th October
Masquerading as a marriage counsellor, a serial killer teaches his methods to a desperate writer trying to find inspiration and save his marriage. Dark comedy starring Steve Buscemi.
Y2K – 26th October
On the last night of 1999, two high school juniors crash a New Years Eve party, only to find themselves fighting for their lives in this dial-up disaster comedy. Starring Jaeden Martell, Rachel Zegler, Julian Dennison and Fred Durst.
