ITV has acquired the free-to-air rights in the UK for A Murder at the End of the World.
The FX mystery series stars Emma Corrin (The Crown) as Darby Hart, a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker who – along with eight other guests – is invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use all of her skills to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life.
Created, written and directed by Brit Marling & Zal Batmanglij, the duo behind The OA, the series is exec-produced by Marling and Batmanglij alongside Andrea Sperling (Transparent), Melanie Marnich and Nicki Paluga. The seven-episode limited series is also written by Marnich and Rebecca Roanhorse.
In front of the camera, its credits are no less impressive: the seven-part series co-stars Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson, Brit Marling and Alice Braga.
The show debuted on Disney+ in the UK in 2024.
“Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij are four for four with this timely, thoughtful crime mystery,” we wrote in our review.
Sasha Breslau, Head of Content Acquisitions at ITV, said: “Emma Corrin captivates alongside co-creator Brit Marling and Clive Owen in this compelling mystery drama. We’re delighted to bring this premium miniseries to audiences at ITVX.”
The series will be available to stream on ITVX from Sunday 25 May.
