Chicago Fire: Season 13 (9pm, Sky Witness) – 2nd May

Chicago PD: Season 12 (10pm, Sky Witness) – 2nd May
Sergeant Hank Voight is back to lead the Intelligence Unit as they fight every day to keep their city safe – while having each other’s backs.
Germanwings: What Happened on Flight 9525? (9pm, Sky Documentaries) – 7th May
On March 24, 2015, Germanwings Flight 9525 crashed in the French Alps enroute from Barcelona to Düsseldorf. All 150 passengers and crew members were killed. Shortly thereafter, the French public prosecutor’s office determined that the co-pilot deliberately crashed the plane. Ten years after the disaster, however, questions remain. This Sky Original documentary analyses the crash as survivors, experts, and journalists have their say.
Poker Face: Season 2 (9pm, Sky Max) – 8th May
Natasha Lyonne is swaggering back into detective territory for the second chapter of Rian Johnson’s crime drama, which follows Charlie Cale, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve. Episodes 1 to 3 arrive together, following by episodes weekly.
Bibaa & Nicole: Murder in the Park (9pm, Sky Documentaries) – 11th May
As the Covid lockdown eased in June 2020, a group of friends gathered in a London park to celebrate Bibaa Henry’s birthday. As night fell, only Bibaa and her sister Nicole remained, dancing in the park. When they didn’t return home, friends reported them missing, but the police did not act. 36 hours later, their bodies were found by Nicole’s partner. Shockingly, police officers photographed and shared the crime scene images on social media.
David Frost Vs: Part 2 (9pm, Sky Documentaries) – 14th May
The second part of David Frost Vs kicks off with David Frost vs Richard Nixon, the inside story of the most watched and one of the most important political interviews of all time. Frost conducted a titanic battle of wits over 28 hours with disgraced Former President Richard Nixon, speaking for the first time since the humiliation of his resignation over the Watergate scandal. The episode includes unseen footage, contributions from Nixon insiders Frank Gannon and Ken Khachigian, Frost’s inner circle, film director Ron Howard and actor Michael Sheen. All 3 episodes arrive together on-demand.
Garbo: Where Did You Go? (9pm, Sky Arts) – 14th May
The first definitive, immersive, authored feature documentary portrait of Hollywood heroine and icon, Greta Garbo.
Elsbeth: Season 2 (9pm, Sky Witness) – 12th May
Elsbeth stars Carrie Preston as Elsbeth Tascioni, the astute but unconventional consent decree attorney who utilises her unique point of view by working with the NYPD to catch New York’s most well-heeled murderers. Season two of the critically acclaimed series brings new cases and challenges when mistakes of the past come back to haunt Elsbeth, her boss Captain Wagner and Detective Kaya Blanke. Episodes arrive weekly.
Big Zuu & AJ Tracey’s Rich Flavours (9pm, Sky Max) – 20th May
In a new culinary adventure, Big Zuu is teaming up with his rapper cousin AJ Tracey for a trip around the world. Seeking out the most unique, bizarre and expensive dining experiences, the pair will be sampling dishes and immersing themselves in the culture of the area, discovering the customs and stories behind these one-of-a-kind luxury meals.
The Brontës by Anita Rani: Sisters of Disruption (9pm, Sky Arts) – 20th May
Anita Rani presents this exploration of the Bronte sisters and their enduring influence, tracking the impact Anne, Charlotte and Emily have had on millions of readers across the centuries. Partly autobiographical, this new programme traces Anita’s relationship with the Brontes as she heads back to her hometown of Bradford, recalling her first encounter with them at school and her experience of growing up with the stunning landscape of Haworth and the moors on her doorstep. Anita also meets fellow Bronte fans and literary experts to discuss how and why these sisters became ground-breaking ‘literary disruptors’ whose work still feels relevant and influential today.
Catching Fire: The Story Of Anita Pallenberg (8pm, Sky Arts) – 20th May
This intimate portrait reveals the story of an unapologetic rock ‘n’ roller, actress, muse and mother who rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s. Drawing on words from her unpublished memoir, narrated by Scarlett Johansson, Anita draws us deep into her world, with the help of a supporting cast that includes her family – Marlon, Angela, and their father Keith Richards. Never-seen-before home movies and family photographs explore life with the Rolling Stones, in a bittersweet tale of both triumph and heartbreak. From Barbarella to the Swiss Alps, and the Lower East Side of New York, Anita Pallenberg was a woman ahead of her time.
My Week With…: Season 1 (8pm, Sky Arts) – 27th May
Uncover the day-to-day lives of the world’s most extraordinary women artists in My Week With… In this brand new series, Sky Arts sends art expert Kate Bryan to spend a week with some of the most iconic and disruptive women artists. With up to half the footage captured by Kate on an iPhone, these films are intimate, candid, and refreshingly real. The series comprises: The Guerrilla Girls, Lubaina Himid and Maggi Hambling
Jacqueline Du Pre: Genius And Tragedy (9pm, Sky Arts) – 27th May
Introduced and narrated by grammy-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma, JACQUELINE DU PRÉ: GENIUS AND TRAGEDY, tells the story Jacqueline du Pré and her enigmatic genius and one of the greatest cellists of all time. It is full of candid moments off-stage and in rehearsal, together with powerful concert performances. The film’s charismatic cast of interviewees provide an incomparable insight into why the affection for du Pré and the wonder at her playing remains undiminished, nearly forty years after her death in 1987.
And Just Like That… Season 3 (9pm, Sky Comedy) – 30th May
From executive producer Michael Patrick King, AND JUST LIKE THAT… follows Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, Seema, and Lisa navigating the complicated reality of life, love, sex, and friendship in their 50s in New York City. Episodes arrive weekly.
Sky Cinema
Cleaner – 2nd May
Set in present-day London, a group of radical activists take over an energy company’s annual gala, seizing 300 hostages in order to expose the corruption of the hosts. Their just cause is hijacked by an extremist within their ranks, who is ready to murder everyone in the building to send his anarchic message to the world. It falls to an ex-soldier turned window cleaner (Daisy Ridley) suspended 50-storeys up on the outside of the building to save those trapped inside, including her younger brother.
Omni Loop – 3rd May
A quantum physicist (Mary-Louise Parker) finds herself stuck in a time loop, with a black hole growing in her chest and only a week to live. When she meets a gifted student (Ayo Edibiri), they team up to save her life – and to unlock the mysteries of time travel.
The Damned – 4th May
Eva (Odessa Young), a 19th-century widow is tasked with making an impossible choice when, in the middle of an especially cruel winter, a ship sinks off the coast of her isolated fishing post. Eva and her crew must choose to either rescue the shipwrecked or survive the winter with their last remaining food. Facing the consequences of their choice and tormented by their guilt, the inhabitants wrestle with a mounting sense of dread and begin to believe they are all being punished for their choices.
Speak No Evil – 9th May
When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.
Mob Cops – 10th May
Kevin Connolly (Entourage), David Arquette (Scream) and Jeremy Luke (Sully) star in a thrilling crime drama about the darkest corruption case in the history of the New York City Police Department. When a retired NYPD detective writes a book about his family’s ties to the mob, it ignites a firestorm between the dirty cops working for the city’s brutal crime boss and the officers trying to bring them to justice.
Rebellious – 11th May
In this modern twist on a classic fairy tale, a headstrong princess is stolen by an evil sorcerer, and her scholarly fiancé must use his wits in an epic quest to find her while she boldly challenges her captors and plots a daring escape.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice – 16th May
Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.
Bookworm – 17th May
12-year-old Mildred’s life is turned upside down when her mother lands in hospital and estranged, American magician father, Strawn Wise (Elijah Wood), comes to look after her. Hoping to entertain the bookish tween, Strawn takes Mildred camping in the notoriously rugged New Zealand wilderness, and the pair embark on the ultimate test of family bonding – a quest to find the mythological beast known as the Canterbury Panther.
Poison – 18th May
Poison is a love story about a couple reunited years after tragedy drove them apart. Their brief but intense meeting will bring simmering pain and resentments to the surface but will be a reminder too of cherished intimacies and the love they once shared. Starring Tim Roth and Trine Dyrholm.
The Wild Robot – 23rd May
This epic adventure follows the journey of a robot – ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short –as it is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island. Learning to adapt to the harsh surroundings, Roz gradually builds relationships with the animals on the island and becomes the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.
A Different Man – 24th May
After his facial reconstructive surgery, an aspiring actor fixates on a stage production based on his past. Sebastian Stan stars alongside Adam Pearson.
Escape from the 21st Century – 25th May
After discovering they have the power to travel in time with every sneeze, three friends embark on an adventure to save the world.
Old Guy – 30th May
Ageing hitman Terry (Christoph Waltz) faces an uncertain future when his employer hires a young, Gen Z prodigy (Cooper Hoffman) to replace him. But when the pair uncover a deadly betrayal, they must team up to turn the tables on their double-crossing bosses. With action, humor, and chemistry to spare, this duo proves that age is just a number in the world of high-stakes assassins.
The Front Room – 31st May
A pregnant university lecturer becomes suspicious of her stepmother-in-law’s intentions in this unsettling US psychological horror. From writer/director Max and Sam Eggers and starring Brandy and Kathryn Hunte.
