“There’s a case going on. It’s been a real nightmare.” That’s the sound of Benicia Del Toro heading to Netflix for new thriller Reptile.

The film stars Del Toro as Detective Nichols, who finds his small-town life caught up in a web of conspiracy and corruption. The actor also co-wrote the film with director Grant Singer, his first screenplay credit on one of his own movies.

The film follows the brutal murder of a young real estate agent, prompting the hardened detective to uncover the truth in a case where nothing is as it seems. By doing so, he dismantles the illusions in his own life.

The film co-stars Alicia Silverstone as Judy, Detective Nichols’ wife, and Justin Timberlake as the murder victim’s husband, Will. Also appearing in the film are Eric Bogosian, Ato Essandoh, Domenick Lombardozzi and Michael Carmen Pitt.

You can see them in action on 6th October, when the film premieres on Netflix. Here’s the trailer:
