New Game of Thrones Season 5 trailer threatens to break the wheel

“Lannister, Baratheon, Stark, Tyrell, they’re all just spokes on a wheel,” says Daenerys at the start of an ominous new trailer for Game of Thrones Season 5.
The video was unveiled at Apple’s latest event yesterday when the US-only VOD service HBO Now was unveiled. The service, which is available on Apple TV, allows American viewers to enjoy HBO content without a full contract – the equivalent of NOW in the UK. The British VOD service allows non-Sky customers to stream Sky TV channels live, as well as catch up on demand post-broadcast, for £6.99 a month. That means viewers can watch Game of Thrones online legally online without a contract, while it’s being broadcast on Sky.
If HBO’s approach is something of a game-changer for US fans, it’s only apt for the series, which is introducing a wave of new characters designed to upset the staus quo. At the heart of it is the High Sparrow, played by Jonathan Pryce, whose uprising and quest for justice threatens King’s Landing. Not to mention, of course, the looming danger of Emilia Clarke’s mother of dragons.
“We’re not going to stop the wheel,” she adds. “I’m going to break the wheel.”
Game of Thrones Season 5 premieres in the UK on Monday 13th April, within 24 hours of its US broadcast, and will be available to watch online via Sky Go (for Sky Customers) and on NOW (for non-Sky customers).
