The Penguin heads to Sky Atlantic in the UK

The Penguin has found its official UK TV home in the form of Sky Atlantic.
The series, a spin-off from Matt Reeves’ film The Batman, sees Colin Farrell reprise his role as The Penguin. The eight-part Warner Bros Television and DC Studios drama will follow the crime boss, with Farrell joined on screen by Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Clancy Brown and Michael Zegen.
The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, Bill Carraro, and Daniel Pipski.
Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, The Penguin will be available exclusively on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW later this year. Each episode will air at the same time as the US each week and on demand thereafter.

With HBO Max rebranding as Max this May, Warner Bros-Discovery has been bigging up its slate of new and exclusive content – and one of the most prominent is The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell.
The eight-episode DC Studios drama series continues The Batman epic crime saga that filmmaker Matt Reeves began with The Batman, and centres on the character played by Farrell in the film. The first look was revealed this week exclusively during Warner Bros. Discovery’s unveiling of the Max streaming service.
The cast includes Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Deirdre O’Connell, with Clancy Brown and Michael Zegen recurring.

The show is currently in production, with no release date yet confirmed.
