Millie Bobby Brown will officially return to Netflix this year, with Enola Holmes 3 set for a 2026 release date.
Based on Nancy Springer’s six-book series, Netflix’s franchise tells the story of Sherlock Holmes’ rebellious teen sister Enola, a gifted super-sleuth in her own right who often outsmarts her famous siblings. Enola Holmes 2 found her a detective-for-hire, with a penniless matchstick girl offering Enola her first official job: to find her missing sister. But as she was thrown into a dangerous conspiracy – from London’s sinister factories and colourful music halls, to the highest echelons of society and 221B Baker Street itself – she had to call upon friends and family to crack the case.
Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill both reprised their roles in the sequel, alongside David Thewlis, Louis Partridge, Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster and Helena Bonham Carter.
Enola Holmes 3 will see the detective tackling another mystery, this time on the island nation of Malta. Once she’s arrived, Enola is flung into a nest of vipers. As the private detective juggles a new case and the next stages of her relationship with Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), the game is truly afoot.
The film is directed by Phillip Barantini, the director of Adolescence and Boiling Point. Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2 scribe Jack Thorne will return to write the script.
The cast will include, alongside Bobby Brown, Partridge, Cavill and Bonham Carter, Himesh Patel as Dr John Watson and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.
