Award-winning comedy Meet the Patels is available to watch online in the UK now – and we have a clip from the movie to give you a taste.

Directed by brother and sister team Ravi Patel (Scrubs, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Master of None) and Geeta Patel (Project Kashmir), the romantic comedy follows Ravi Patel, an almost-30-year-old Indian-American who enters a love triangle between the woman of his dreams… and his parents.

Filmed by Ravi’s sister in what started as a family vacation video, the resulting five-year journey explores love as a family affair, addressing societal pressures in a first-generation Indian American family.

The movie is produced by Janet Eckholm (American Splendour), Academy Award Winning Executive Producer Geralyn Dreyfous (The Square) and PBS, blending animation, rom-com and documentary formats together.

The film was released in the US in September 2015, following a successful run on the festival circuit. Now, it’s been released in the UK on VOD service We Are Colony, where you can stream it alongside an exclusive bundle of behind-the-scenes extras, including deleted scenes and interviews with the cast and crew.
