Amazon is getting its comedy on this summer, with the premiere of new original film Deep Cover, co-written by The Pin. It’s joined by a crime drama starring Jensen Ackles, plus weekly episodes of Nine Perfect Strangers and The Handmaid’s Tale.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Amazon Prime Video UK in June 2025:

The Orkney Assassin: Murder in the Isles – 8th June

The Orkney isles lie 130 miles north of Aberdeen. Remote, beautiful and peaceful, this is a traditional place with a strong sense of community. In June 1994, Bangladeshi waiter Shamsuddin Mahmood was serving a table at the islands’ only curry house, when a masked man burst in and shot him dead at point blank range. The assassin disappeared into the night, leaving the islands reeling. The ensuing manhunt would last 14 years, and lead to the door of one of the police officers at the heart of the investigation. This astonishing documentary revisits one of Scotland’s most extraordinary murder cases, examining racism, loyalty, and the impact of trauma decades on. All episodes arrive together.

Deep Cover – 12th June

Bryce Dallas Howard stars in this comedy thriller as Kat, an improv comedy teacher beginning to question if she’s missed her shot at success. When an undercover cop (Sean Bean) offers her the role of a lifetime, she recruits two of her students (Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed) to infiltrate London’s gangland by impersonating dangerous criminals.

American Thunder: NASCAR to Le Mans – 12th June

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the crown jewels of international motorsports. It’s a showcase of sports car racing excellence that tests the limits of man and machine.

We Were Liars – 18th June

We Were Liars follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her tight-knit inner circle, nicknamed the Liars, during their summer escapades on her grandfather’s New England private island. The Sinclairs are American royalty—known for their good looks, old money, and enviable bond—but after a mysterious accident changes Cadence’s life forever, everyone, including her beloved Liars, seems to have something to hide. All episodes arrive at once.

Murderer Behind the Mask – 21st June

When a vulnerable woman goes missing in the Dublin Mountains police assume she has committed suicide. But a chance discovery by a group of fishermen, kick starts an incredible murder investigation that leads to the door of a very surprising suspect.

Countdown – 25th June

When an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum, portrayed by Jensen Ackles, is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions. Episodes arrive weekly.
