Paul Rudd will star in a new Netflix series called Living with Yourself. Joining him as co-star will be Paul Rudd.
Together, Rudd and Rudd will lead the dual cast of one person in an inventive philosophical comedy that asks: do we really want to be better?
The show is created by Emmy and Peabody Award-winner Timothy Greenberg (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart), who will serve as showrunner on the project. The scripted series will follow a man struggling with his life who undergoes a novel treatment to become a better person, and finds he’s been replaced by a new and improved version – revealing that his own worst enemy is himself.
Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine, Battle of the Sexes) will direct the series, and serve as executive producers alongside Greenberg, Anthony Bregman and Jeff Stern for Likely Story, Tony Hernandez for Jax Media, and Jeff Blitz.
Rudd will also exec produce. The actor needs no introduction, with Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp currently out in cinemas, grossing $430 million at the global box office to date. He also needs no introduction to Netflix, after appearing in the streaming giant’s series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, as well as voicing a character in the animated movie The Little Prince.
Netflix has ordered an eight-episode first season.
