Watch: Apple TV+ drops trailer for Prime Target

Apple TV+ is dialling up the conspiracy theories this January with new thriller Prime Target, and a new trailer gives us a look at the series.
Created by Vienna Blood writer Steve Thompson, the eight-part thriller stars Leo Woodall (The White Lotus, One Day) and Quintessa Swindell (Black Adam, In Treatment); It follows a brilliant young math postgraduate, Edward Brooks (Woodall), who is on the verge of a major breakthrough. If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world. Soon, he begins to realise an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent (Swindell) who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians’ behaviour. Together, they start to unravel the conspiracy Edward is at the heart of.
The star-studded ensemble includes Stephen Rea (The Crying Game), David Morrissey (Sherwood), Martha Plimpton (The Regime), Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen), Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Harry Lloyd (“ame of Thrones), Ali Suliman (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), Fra Fee (Rebel Moon) and Joseph Mydell (The Eternal Daughter).
Ed Rubin serves as executive producer for New Regency alongside Beth Pattinson, Emma Broughton, Yariv Milchan, Arnon Milchan and Michael Schaefer; Marina Brackenbury is an executive producer for Scott Free Productions along with David W Zucker and Ridley Scott. Laura Hastings-Smith serves as executive producer alongside Brady Hood (Top Boy, Great Expectations), who directed all eight episodes.
The series premieres on 22nd January, with the first two episodes arriving together followed by episodes weekly until the finale on 5th March.
