“I’m being framed for murder. How much worse can it get?” That’s the sound of The Lincoln Lawyer going to court in a whole new way – and a trailer gives us a first look at Season 4.
Based on the series of bestselling novels by Michael Connelly, the fourth season is based on the sixth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Law of Innocence. Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia Rulfo) faces his toughest case yet as he and his team work tirelessly to prove his innocence in the murder of a former client, Sam Scales.
On trial for a crime he didn’t commit, Mickey must face a relentless DA as he fights to prove his innocence, expose the real killer and save his firm. To clear his name, he must unravel Sam’s final scam, forcing them to go head-to-head with the FBI and ghosts from Mickey’s own past.
The series was created for television by David E Kelley, who serves as an executive producer, and developed for television by Ted Humphrey, who serves as co-showrunner and executive producer. In front of the camera, it also stars Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson, Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, Krista Warner as Hayley, Sasha Alexander as FBI Agent Dawn Ruth, and Elliott Gould as David “Legal” Siegel.
Constance Zimmer will also join the cast as Dana, a former colleague of Maggie’s from her days in the DA office, as well as Cobie Smulders in an unknown role.
You can see them all in action on 5th February, when Season 4 premieres on Netflix. Here’s the trailer:
Netflix renews The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 3
2nd September 2023
Netflix is getting back behind the wheel with Mickey Haller, as it renews The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 3.
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will return as the iconoclastic idealist who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln Town Car, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on Michael Connelly’s books, the legal drama dropped its second season in July and quickly climbed up the Netflix Global Top 10 charts, with a cumulative 40 million views as of 29th August.
Now, Netflix has ordered a third run of 10 episodes, based on The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in Connelly’s series.
“The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again,” said showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez. Also returning alongside Garcia-Rulfo will be Becki Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco, and Yaya DaCosta as Andrea Freemann.
Season 3 will pick up after the news that an old friend of Mickey’s has dird.
“It’s going to be the toughest case he’s ever had, both professionally and personally,” executive producer Ross Fineman. “This was his friend, someone he cared about, and he needs to know what happened to her. And there’s a nagging sense that he might have been responsible in some way.”
