Netflix has released a new trailer for its documentary about Amanda Knox.
Simply titled Amanda Knox, the film aims to go past the headlines to examine the ties between true crime, tragedy, justice and the media.
“Either I’m a psychopath in sheep’s clothing. Or I am you.”
Was Knox a cold-blooded psychopath who brutally murdered her roommate or a naive student abroad trapped in an endless nightmare? Directors Rod Blackhurst and Brian McGinn and producer Mette Heide explore the notorious case that became news around the world – and the trailer provocatively treads the line between believing Knox’s accounts of events to questioning it.
The trailer arrives as the movie has its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival today – one of many Netflix titles screening at the festival. It will go on to premiere on Netflix on Friday 30th September.
