“I can be that witch again…” That’s the sound of Agatha Harkness getting a solo outing on Disney+, and a new trailer gives us a first proper look at what’s in store for Agatha All Along.
The series, which is a spin-off from WandaVision, will star Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, alongside Aubrey Plaza as Rio, Emma Caulfield Ford as Dottie, Patti LuPone as Lilia, Sasheer Zamata as Jen K, Ali Ahn as Alice, and Joe Locke.
It will follow the infamous Agatha as she finds her down and out of power after a suspicion teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, they pull together a desperate coven and set off down the road.
You can see the supernatural twists and turns that await on 18th September, when the series premieres its first two episodes on Disney+, followed by episodes weekly. Here’s the surprisingly spooky trailer:
Agatha All Along set for Disney+ September debut
16th May 2024
Agatha All Along will officially arrive on Disney+ this September, Marvel has announced.
The show was first announced back in 2021 and has undergone a string of title changes since, from Agatha: House of Harkness to Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Now, during Disney’s Upfront presentation this week, Marvel Studios confirmed the programme’s final title and that it will finally arrive on Disney+ on 18th September, with two episodes arriving together followed by episodes weekly.
Marvel also announced new release dates for its upcoming slate of original series, with Daredevil: Born Again now arriving in March 2025, starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin and Jon Bernthal as The Punisher. Marvek’s Ironheart will also debut in 2025, starring Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams and Anthony Ramos’ The Hood.

Darkhold Diaries: Disney+ delays and renames Agatha Harkness series
16th May 2024
Loki’s return to our screens may not be for another month, but Marvel and Disney+ are shaking up their timeline for the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a string of delays for their upcoming series.
The most notable is Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, not least because the show has now changed its name for a third time, after previously being called Agatha: House of Harkness and Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The WandaVision spin-off will star Kathryn Hahn and Joe Locke, alongside Emma Caulfield Ford as Dottie. Further details – including rumours of Aubrey Plaza playing a villain – aren’t yet known, but that’s perhaps no surprise in light of the apparent shifts in the project’s overall name.
The series is now set for a delayed release in autumn 2024, just in time for Halloween. It has already completed filming, but it’s one of a number of titles that have been impacted by the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, as the industry fails to meet the terms for better conditions for writers and actors.
Indeed, also delayed by Disney are X-Men 97, pushed from an autumn release this year to early 2024, Ironheart, which, like Agatha’s solo outing, has also completed principal photography, Hawkeye spin-off Echo, moving from 29th November to January 2024, and What If…? Season 2, pushed back to December.
Daredevil: Born Again and Wonder Man haven’t yet finished production, so their release dates are even more up in the air.
Loki Season 2, meanwhile, will still debut on 6th October.
